Coach Haggerty has spent the last 14 seasons as both a head coach and as an assistant coach at the D2/D3 levels, as well as the Perfect Game League (PGCBL).  Most recently Coach Haggerty was named the Associate Head Coach at Cortland State.  He has been successful throughout his baseball career path, not only giving his best, but also inspiring others to be passionate about the game. 

After spending five years playing professional baseball for the Chicago White Sox farm system (18th rd. draft pick in 2003), Haggerty has spent 5 years as an assistant at Cortland State, the Red Dragons posted a 182-54-1 record and reached the NCAA D3 world series twice. He has also has played an integral part of 5 Regional Teams and 4 SUNYAC championships during his tenure at Cortland.  Several players have been named to the All-SUNYAC, All-Region and All-American ranks during Haggerty's time with the Red Dragons. 

While at Utica University,  Coach Haggerty helped shift the program into a league contender from 2019-2022.  Utica witnessed back to back Empire 8 Conference Championship finals during the 21' and 22' campaigns; as the team's hitting and recruiting coordinator, Haggerty cemented several top 5 offensive team records. 

As head coach for the Mohawk Valley Diamond Dawgs from 2018-2020,  Haggerty amassed a winning record of 55-36 and made the playoffs in both seasons (2020 season canceled due to COVID).
 
His winning mentality and passion to be successful resonates with players.  It is that thirst for winning and competitive spirit that Coach Haggerty hopes to pay forward to the next generation of ball players.
